Jonathan Betz is an American journalist and anchorman for Al Jazeera America. He began his television career at WWL-TV in New Orleans, Louisiana. He later moved on to WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas where he was a reporter and fill in anchor. Betz was brought on at Al Jazeera America at the launch of the network. Betz is the weekend evening news anchor for the channel and a weekday fill in anchor. He also does reporting in the field. ==Awards== While in New Orleans he won a Alfred I. duPont Award and a George Foster Peabody Award with the rest of the team for their coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
